WhatsApp’s multi-device feature allows users to use their WhatsApp account on multiple devices simultaneously without requiring a constant connection to the user’s primary phone. This means that users can simultaneously access their WhatsApp chats, voice notes, and other media on their tablet and computer without switching back and forth between devices. Previously, WhatsApp only allowed users to access their accounts on one device at a time, and the account had to be linked to the user’s primary phone. Last week the news was released that you can use whatsapp on different phones at the same time without logging out.
Finally you can use one WhatsApp Account on Multiple Phones
After introducing the most demanding feature of using a single Whatsapp account on a laptop or tablet in 2021, Whatsapp is now bringing another significant feature. Now you can use the same Whatsapp account on up to five phones.
Linking each other’s phones to the account has the same procedure as linking Whatsapp on Web browsers, tablets, and desktops. End-to-end encryption protects your data from beginning to end, regardless of which phone you’re using.
Moreover, if your primary phone is inactive for a considerable duration, you will be automatically logged out of all associated devices as a security measure.
As a result, you no longer have to log out of WhatsApp when you transfer phones. Now you can have the same Whatsapp account signed in on multiple devices.
The upgrade is now available to users everywhere, and the rollout will be finished in the coming weeks.
However, Whatsapp is introducing a “simpler method” for linking to associated devices over the next few weeks. Rather than scanning a QR code, you can enter your phone number into WhatsApp Web and receive a unique code when syncing your devices.
This function is available only on WhatsApp Web but will be available on “additional companion devices” soon.
